What others are saying

Excerpt is an imaginative and vibrant new magazine covering contemporary art and visual culture in Australia. I wish it all the best and look forward to seeing how it develops.
- Jennifer Higgie, co-editor of frieze, 2013

Excerpt is like an incredible conversation one has with a stranger at a house party at three in the morning. Only with supporting documentation in the form of curated artworks from talented image-makers based around the world and you can return to it and enjoy it again and again. It is a discussion that stays with you, sharpens your gaze and informs about how we look at the world.
- Linsey Gosper & Ash Kerr , Strange Neighbour, 2013

While it could be argued that Australian contemporary art publishing has been stuck in something of rut, Excerpt makes for an exciting, accessible and decidedly original new development.
- Dan Rule, Broadsheet on Issue 1
